Quarantine Day #28
1. Utah schools have officially closed for the reminder of the school year
2. I genuinely have no idea when I will get to be married now
3. I think I do a pretty good job staying optimistic (without even trying)
4. Sometimes it gets very discouraging though
5. NYC has been hit the hardest. A naval hospital ship has been sent there to relieve hospitals from non-COVID 19 patient care. Nurses from across the nation, including Utah, have sent nurses to give relief.
Quarantine Day #27
1. I am SO SHOCKED we weren’t prepared for this better in school/during our childhood. A simple, “The little likelihood of you living through a global pandemic during your lifetime is all but set in stone. Plan on it.”
2. People have to make their own face masks since there are none to buy + even if there was, they need to be saved for the medical professionals
3. I get ready about once a week. I shower every day + at least wash my hair/use dry shampoo daily. But actually wearing makeup + doing something my hair other than putting it in a bun? NOPE.
4. There’s no reason to get dressed. I basically wear my AM pajamas + my PM pajamas.
5. We take drives regularly to safely get out of the house. Huge parking lots are completely empty (mall, Kohl’s, Old Navy, movie theaters, etc.). Did I mention all movie theaters are closed.
Quarantine Day #26
Schools currently:
1. Public schools are closed across the nation
2. Teachers expected to teach online or provide packets for kiddos with about 48 hours notice
3. Kids can pick up their lunches known as grab-and-go or have their lunches be delivered by their school bus driver 🚌
4. Schools closed until at least May 1st, some have closed for the remainder of the year
5. My nephew, a graduating senior of 2020, may never return to his school or attend a high school graduation
Quarantine Day #25
Grocery stores currently:
1. Entirely empty aisles - as in everyone panic-bought so much.
2. TP - gone
3. Clorox wipes - gone
4. Sanitizer - gone
5. Lysol disinfectant spray - gone
Quarantine Day #24
Things that have been canceled:
1. March Madness
2. NBA
3. All universities + all their spring sports
4. We have to do church from home now. The last time we were allowed to go to church was March 8, 2020.
5. The freaking summer Olympics.
Quarantine Day #23
1. We now wear face masks when we go out, which isn’t often. 😷
2. Social distancing. It’s weird + I like it (you get to intentionally further yourself from others + they don’t feel badly about it). We’re supposed to stay at least six feet away from other humans to limit the spread. 📏
3. I heard on the radio today that we may never go back to giving handshakes. 🤝🤯
4. You cannot dine-in at restaurants. Each restaurant has come up with a curbside pickup system in a matter of days. 🚘
5. Tomorrow is Good Friday + many, many people of different faiths, from across the world are doing a world-wide fast for the virus to be controlled, that caregivers can be protected, the economy can be strengthened + that life can be normalized. 🙏🏻
Quarantine Day #16
1. COVID-19, coronavirus or my preference, ‘rona.
2. TP stock, still good! 👍🏻
3. Should have been on a vacay in St. Thomas today. ☀️🌴
4. You think planning a wedding is stressful? Try planning one during a global pandemic. 😅🥴😭
5. Snow. Snow was the last straw of my patience in this pandemic.
“I can write the saddest poem of all tonight. I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.”— Pablo Neruda, Twenty Love Poems and Song of Despair (via books-n-quotes)
(via depressedbarbie)
if it was that easy for you to stop loving me then whatever love you had for me i’m better off without.
thank you for leaving, i deserve so much more.
